In the former village centre of Dornbach stands this early-historic building from the first half of the 19th century. It was extended in 1869 – its romantic façade still defines the house today.

The existing building is being carefully renovated and extended. Historic fabric is preserved and blends harmoniously with modern comfort, new outdoor spaces and many small details.

Fit-out

A well-considered mix of measures makes the historic building fit for the future. New building sections are added in solid and timber-hybrid construction with a focus on energy efficiency.

Heating and hot water are supplied by geothermal energy; in summer the building is tempered from the depths. Smart residential ventilation ensures a pleasant indoor climate and fresh air. Modern timber windows complement the historic box windows on the romantic façade.

Living space

The high standard of detailed planning and the careful selection of materials and surfaces can be felt throughout the house. The 9 individual units offer a wide variety of qualities. Plenty of light and a connection to the green outdoors shape the design, and later changes of use have already been considered for maximum flexibility and sustainability.
